1) Entry Ticket to Eravikulam National park
Located in the high ranges of Western ghats, Eravikulam national park attracts plenty of backpackers every day. Ervaikulam national park is home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar and boasts different kinds of flora and fauna. One will see the mountains in purple color if you visit the park during the Neelakurinji Season (Neelakurinji blossoms only once in 12 years). Eravikulam national park is the major tourist attraction in Munnar and it’s a must visit on your trip.
Due to high volume of tourists you need to stay in the queue for hours to get the entry tickets. Due to this heavy flow, entry to the national park is limited to 3500 tickets per day and out of which 75% tickets sell online. The entry time is between 7 am and 4 pm. The entry fee is Rs 120 for adults and 90 for children. Foreign nationals have to pay Rs 400 as entry fees.
2) Boat ticket for Periyar tiger Reserve
The major attraction/activity in the periyar tiger reserve or Thekkady is the boating in the lake. Due to high volume of visitors, the tickets will be sold out on festive seasons.
